2021/22 International Elections
It is again time for the International Elections, one of the most participative processes in our Movement. It is the right and duty of all eligible clubs to take part in the election process.

Eligible Voting Clubs
- Voting privileges are granted to clubs that meet the following requirements:
- Are in good standing and with minimum of 15 club members during last 3 semesters (or those that have been granted an exemption from this minimum requirement)
- Have provided IHQ with a valid email address for the Club President or approved representative
- More information on voting eligibility is available in Guidelines 409, 410 & 411 of the International Constitution.
Terms & Conditions
Voters must carefully read the terms and conditions of the International Election. You will be asked to accept the terms and conditions after logging into the voting portal.
Online Voting
The 2021/22 International Elections of Y’s Men International will be conducted online using technology called Invote, a solution developed and fully managed by Scytl (https://www.scytl.com/online-voting/invote/).
- Secure credential delivery
- Voters obtain their login and password to access the voting portal after completing a secure two-step authentication process
- Vote encryption
- Every digital ballot is encrypted in the voter’s device so that no one can tamper with it before it reaches the ballot box
- Secure tallying
- The virtual ballot box is mixed so that no vote can be matched with its voter, not even by election administrators
- Verification receipt
- Voters obtain an anonymised confirmation code that will allow them to verify that their vote was actually counted in the final tally.

Still having problems?
- Check that your club is on the list of eligible voting clubs.
- Check with your Regional Director or Regional Office, or login to Portalbuzz, to verify the email address that was provided to IHQ.
- If you have confirmed your eligibility and verified which address has been registered but still having difficulty:
- Manually type the complete address into both fields and then click ‘get voting code’. You can also copy/paste into both fields if you take care to ensure there are no extra spaces before or after the address.
- Avoid allowing the browser to autofill those fields as this can be the cause of some problems.
- Once the code is received, enter the code into the required field, avoiding any extra spaces before or after the code.
- Take care if copy/pasting as this can include unwanted spaces in the code.
- Manually type the complete address into both fields and then click ‘get voting code’. You can also copy/paste into both fields if you take care to ensure there are no extra spaces before or after the address.

At the time of election, there is no candidate for Korea Area. If required, an election will be held at a later date. One seat is vacant for the position of Area President Elect/International Council Member from 1 July 2022 until 30 June 2023 and then as Area President/International Council Member from 1 July 2023 until 30 June 2024.
Latin America Area
Mr Jurandir SOUSA (Brazil Region) was elected earlier this year to serve as Area President Elect/International Council Member Elect from 1 July 2021 until 30 June 2022 and then as Area President/International Council Member from 1 July 2022 until 30 June 2024, and therefore election of an International Council Member Elect is not needed at this time.

United States Area
Only one candidate for one seat was nominated, so no election of Area President Elect/International Council Member for Canada/Caribbean Area is needed. Mr Douglas JONES (Pacific Southwest Region), will serve as Area President Elect/International Council Member from 1 July 2022 until 30 June 2023 and then as Area President/International Council Member from 1 July 2023 until 30 June 2025.
