It is again time for the International Elections, one of the most participative processes in our Movement. It is the right and duty of all eligible clubs to take part in the election process.

Eligible Voting Clubs
- Voting privileges are granted to clubs that meet the following requirements:
- Are in good standing and with minimum of 15 club members during last 3 semesters (or those that have been granted an exemption from this minimum requirement)
- Have provided IHQ with a valid email address for the Club President or approved representative
- More information on voting eligibility is available in Guidelines 409, 410 & 411 of the International Constitution.
Terms & Conditions
Voters must carefully read the terms and conditions of the International Election. You will be asked to accept the terms and conditions after logging into the voting portal.
Online Voting
The 2023/24 International Elections of Y’s Men International will be conducted using Simply Voting, a web-based online voting system (https://www.simplyvoting.com/)
- Robust Security Measures
- Simply Voting employs multiple security features, including voter authentication, one-vote-per-voter technology, encrypted communication, and comprehensive logging of all administrator and voter activities.
- Infrastructure Integrity
- The system’s infrastructure is protected with daily security scans, regular penetration testing, and source code security audits, ensuring high-level security against various threats.
- Privacy and Confidentiality:
- Voter secrecy is paramount; election organisers cannot access individual votes, and voter information is securely handled, meeting TRUSTe Privacy Certification standards.
- Compliance with Standards
- Simply Voting is SOC 2 Type 1 compliant, demonstrating adherence to rigorous standards for security, availability, and confidentiality.
Invitation to Vote
Club Presidents (or approved representatives) will receive an email from “Y’s Men International” <vote@simplyvoting.com>
Voting representatives of all eligible clubs are recommended to add the email address <vote@simplyvoting.com> to their list of safe senders (“white list”) within their email account settings. This will ensure that any emails inviting clubs to vote will not be sent to junk/spam folders.
The email will contain an Elector ID and Password.
These creditials can be used to vote at https://ymi.simplyvoting.com/

- Check with your Regional Director or Regional Office, or login to Portalbuzz, to verify the email address that was provided to IHQ.

International President Elect (IPE)
Candidates were nominated by the International Council from names submitted by Regional Directors on behalf of each Region and by the Nominating Committee.
The final three candidates for International President Elect 2024/25 are:
International Council Members (ICM)
Asia Pacific Area
Only one candidate for one seat was nominated, so no election of Area President Elect/International Council Member for Asia Pacific Area is needed.
Dr Tanoue TADASHI (Japan West Region), will serve from 1 July 2024 – 30 June 2025 as AP Elect/ICM Elect and then as AP/ICM 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2027.

This year India Area will elect two (2) persons to serve as:
- International Council Member Elect
- 1 July 2024 – 30 June 2025
- International Council Member
- 1 July 2024 – 30 June 2026
In accordance with the accepted rotation formula:
- ICME 24/25 & ICM 2025/27 is to be filled by a candidate from Mid West India Region
- ICM 2024/26 is to be filled by a candidate from South West India Region

Only one candidate for one seat was nominated, so no election of International Council Member Elect for India Area (South West India Region candidates) is needed.

Korea Area
At the time of election, there are no candidates for Korea Area. If required, an election will be held at a later date. Two seats are vacant for the position of International Council Member from 1 July 2024 until 30 June 2026.
United States Area
Only one candidate for one seat was nominated, so no election of Area President Elect/International Council Member Elect for United States Area is needed.
Mr Joseph KANJAMALA (North Atlantic Region), will serve from 1 July 2024 – 30 June 2025 as AP Elect/ICM Elect and then as AP/ICM 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2027.

Africa Area
Mr Beswell Mathew MPEMPULWA (Africa Southeast Region) was elected earlier this year to serve as Area President Elect/International Council Member Elect from 1 July 2023 until 30 June 2024 and then as Area President/International Council Member from 1 July 2024 until 30 June 2026, and therefore election of an International Council Member Elect is not needed at this time.

Mrs Mery Consuelo CASTRO DE GUZMÁN (Latin America Region) was elected earlier this year to serve as Area President Elect/International Council Member Elect from 1 July 2023 until 30 June 2024 and then as Area President/International Council Member from 1 July 2024 until 30 June 2026, and therefore election of an International Council Member Elect is not needed at this time.
