Biodata and Declaration of Acceptance Submission

- This declaration of acceptance and biodata form is for the use of IPE, ITE, ICM, and ICM Elect nominees only.
- You must acknowledge that you fully understand and agree to the terms under which this nomination is accepted before proceeding with completing the form.
1. NOTE ON DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE
All proposed nominees must acknowledge that they have been proposed for nomination for the office indicated below and further declare that as a nominee for this office of leadership that they are aware of the Christian origin and purposes of the International Association of Y’s Men’s Clubs. If elected, they shall give their full and enthusiastic support to the pursuit of the same in harmony with Y’s Men and Y’s Menettes of every race, creed, sex and national origin. They declare unconditional loyalty to the Christian basis of our movement and to our partnership with the YMCA. 2. NOTE ON BIODATA SUBMISSION FORM
The data entered into this form cannot be saved. The form must be completed in full and sent at the time the form is completed. You should prepare your submission in advance in a word processing programme, such as Microsoft Word, where the data should also be saved. Once ready, copy/paste this into this form. All fields limit responses to 250 words. Data entered on this form will not be retyped or corrected.
3. NOTE ON ONLINE VOTING
The International Elections of Y’s Men International are conducted online using technology supplied by Simply Voting (https://www.simplyvoting.com/).
4. NOTE ON MEDICAL CLEARANCE
ICM 2013 approved changes to the nomination process and it is now required that all nominated candidates must undergo a medical examination and provide a scanned copy of a medical certificate (to be uploaded when completing the online bio-data form) declaring that the nominee is capable of exercising the duties of the position for the nominated period. The examining doctor should provide a signed certificate of medical clearance that includes the following statement: “I have examined (name of candidate) and have found him/her to be medically fit at this time. To the best of my knowledge, there is no current reason to suggest that he/she is unable to fulfil the duties for the entire term of the nominated role with Y’s Men International, which may include frequent overseas air travel in order to attend and participate in international meetings and conferences.”
5. COMPLAINTS HANDLING
Any complaints or concerns regarding the voting process must be sent to the Regional Director Troika (Regional Director, Regional Director Elect and Past Regional Director). If necessary, the complaint or concern will be sent to the Area President Troika (AP Troika) for consideration. Only the AP Troika may approach the Nominating Committee for further possible action on complaints or concerns. Clubs and/or individuals must not directly contact the Nominating Committee, International Headquarters or International Secretary General with complaints or concerns about the voting process.
