Welcome to the February IP News
As we move into February, many of our members in Asia Pacific have recently celebrated the Chinese New Year, embracing the Year of the Snake with hope and renewed energy. May this season bring joy, prosperity, and new opportunities for all.
This month’s edition highlights the continued strength and unity of our movement. We celebrate the successful conclusion of the International Election, welcoming Rev. Dr. Johan Vilhelm Eltvik from Norway as our International President-Elect for 2025/26. We also acknowledge the newly elected members of the Legislative Assembly, whose leadership will play a crucial role in shaping YMI’s future.
A key focus this month is the Time of Fast (TOF) Emphasis Month, an opportunity for us to demonstrate generosity and solidarity with those in need. By making small sacrifices, we can contribute to life-changing initiatives that align with our mission and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. I encourage each of you to participate and extend your support.
The much-anticipated International Regional Director Elect (RDE) Summit will take place from 11 to 14 February in Kovalam, Kerala. This gathering will provide a platform for strategic discussions, leadership development, and collaboration, reinforcing our commitment to growth and service.
We also acknowledge the devastating impact of recent wildfires in California, which have affected some of our members. Our thoughts are with them, and we stand in solidarity, mobilising resources to provide assistance.
As we continue making an impact in 2025, let us strengthen our commitment to service and solidarity. Whether through leadership, community projects, or acts of generosity, each contribution helps shape a better world. This month, I encourage you to support the Time of Fast initiative and explore new ways to engage with our mission. Contributions for the next issue of IP News are due by 15 February 2025.
