IP News – March 2025

Welcome to the March IP News

As we move into March, we reflect on both the challenges and progress of our movement. February was marked by the sorrowful passing of our International Treasurer, Erik Breum. His loss is deeply felt, and our thoughts remain with his family.

Despite the challenges, February was a dynamic month. The International RDE Summit in Kovalam was a great success, bringing together over 50 participants for strategic discussions, leadership development, and cultural exchanges. I extend my sincere gratitude to the Host Committee, International Executive Officers, ISG Jose Varghese, ISD LTOD Tibor Foki, and IHQ staff for their hard work and dedication.

Looking ahead, March carries two significant themes:

  1. International Women’s Day (8 March) – I encourage all clubs and Regions to observe this day by celebrating the invaluable contributions of women leaders both within our organisation and beyond. Let’s engage in meaningful discussions and initiatives that promote gender equality and recognition.
  2. Environmental Emphasis Month – This month serves as a reminder for us to support the International Environmental Protection Fund and contribute to all international programmes. Contributions to these programmes have been declining, and it is crucial that we revitalise our collective efforts this year.

This month, let’s amplify our community service efforts, not just in words but in meaningful actions. The power of YMI lies in our ability to connect, collaborate, and create positive change. Whether through leadership, impactful projects, or collective advocacy, every effort counts. I invite you to take part in these initiatives and to share your stories of impact and inspiration. Your ongoing commitment and dedication to our mission are deeply appreciated. Let’s keep moving forward with purpose and passion.

International President
