Y’s Youth Embrace ‘Week4Waste’

Over the last couple weeks you may have seen photos from the Week4Waste campaign on our social media platforms. With a special effort requested during the week of 18-25 April, the initiative was not only enthusiastically adopted by  YMI clubs across the world but also our Y’s Youth Clubs who were out in force, cleaning up their local communities and spreading the message of waste reduction. What a great way to celebrate Earth Day!

Y’s Youth across Latin America, including the Y’s Youth Club of La Victoria, joined the Y’s Service Club of Cochabamba (Bolivia) and Y’s Men’s Club of Santiago (Chile) to head into their local neighborhoods and parks to pick up rubbish.

Communities in Kosovo received special attention during Week4Waste as many young people from YMCA of Kosovo organised clean-up activities in Peja, Gjakova and Decan.
